About Amanda

Even as a child I was fascinated by astrology and have been studying it for more than 20 years. After doing a Psychology degree at university I spent many happy years working as a class teacher and teaching dance and storytelling at the Merlin School in London. I did the three-year part-time training at Liz Greene's school, the Centre for Psychological Astrology and began doing astrology readings in 1995.

My marriage to Gordon in 1999 marked a shift towards using astrology for healing. Together we are creating a sacred marriage and we bring the same depth and commitment to our work with others.

My interest in film led to a commission to write a screenplay and later some work as an advisor on astrology and sacred geometry for the film Revelation and I also worked part-time as a script reader for the film company Pathe.

My journey with colour started when I came across Colourworks, a system of colour healing that combines colour, astrology and numerology. I'm interested in drawing out the links between colour and astrology and am pioneering a course on this work. I've been honoured to teach Colour 3 alongside Melissie Jolly, the founder of Colourworks.

I love nature and flower essences were something that attracted me as another form of vibrational healing. Rosemary Hanson brought her special brand of magic to Stoke Gabriel and Gordon and I both trained as Limelight Flower Essence practitioners.

As well as running my own workshop programme, I have taught at South Devon College and the Totnes School of English. I have written for various magazines, including Paradigm Shift and have been interviewed on local and London radio programmes.

Gordon and I have a spirited daughter called Roseanna and we enjoy working with other parents and children.

I bring depth and empathy to my work and believe in spiritual tools being made accessible and simple.

We are blessed to live in a beautiful part of the world on the edge of Stoke Gabriel on the River Dart. We are close to nature and surrounded by wildlife and the alternative centre of Totnes and the South Devon beaches are close by. There are some special places to stay locally and the walk from the village to our home is very pretty.
